Mah-jong is fairly popular set collection tile game that originated in China some two hundred years ago. Although it has sprouted quite a few variations, its basic principle has remained the same. Each player is trying to form a set of tiles in order to win. You draw and discard tiles to reach your goal. Since each player's hand is hidden, you will need to keep track of what your opponents have drawn so that you won't accidentally give them the pieces they need. It is a game of memory, skill and luck which boasts some of the most exquisite pieces that you can find in a table top game.

Well, surprise! Christmas Mahjong is actually a different game with the same pieces, called Mah-jong Solo or Shanghai Solo. Well, not exactly the same pieces. The Christmas skin is red and jolly as you would expect. Just make sure you notice that there are different kinds of snowmen out there (you'll see).

You start the game with an arrangement of pieces. Some are visible, many are not and the point of the game is to remove them all from the play area. This is done similarly to Memory, you find two matching symbols and they're out. Except that here all pieces are face up, and can only be removed if they can be slid left or right without disturbing the other ones.

This means that you might get stuck if you don't prioritize correctly, since there are multiple pieces that are the same, but they are seldom accessible in pairs. So prioritization is the key and a keen eye is required to spot any pitfalls that might befall you if you take out important pieces.
